Not a good day for a beach walk

30 minutes after taking pictures of the lavender I went down to the beach, where it was much more wintery. This guy didn't have his umbrella up long as he was in danger of doing a Mary Poppins. I beat a hasty retreat back to the car

This looks great. We have certainly had some weird weather today. Hot sunshine then heavy heavy showers then sun again. Sounds like the same over the river.

I don't think the umbrella did a lot of good with the lashing rain you can see in this photo. Hope he arrived home with his umbrella still intact.
