New Plymouth

Unfortunately the weather hasn't been on our side for our little break. After 5 weeks of glorious dry weather, we drove through rain all the way to New Plymouth. Having an attempt at the January word list. First word being NEW for New Plymouth

Reminds me about my stay at a derelict backpackers. It was located near an abandoned hospital and we would drink with the owner and his meat packing cuzzie bros.

Any recommendations for things to see?

@dide Unfortunately we didn't! Saw it a few years ago. We nearly stayed another night to do just that, but I have an osteopath appointment early tomorrow morning

@nearlyincontrol Would that be the Whangamomona by any chance? Had lunch and a cider there on this trip. Stayed over one night after doing the rail golf cart trip
