Elizabethan Mansion the walled gardens dating from 17th Century. Littlecote has quite a chequered history. It is supposedly haunted by several apparitions. One of which is a Coach and Horses which are driven at speed through the grounds.

They took great care to have all the bushes trimmed evenly to allow you to photograph them. How nice! Where I went to nursing school, they had a little water garden with a statue much like this one. Ah, nostalgia!

@ourrube Yes we did stay here for 5 days, there are actually three houses, the rear of the Tudor House was extensively added to, which is the Elizabethan, and although there are rooms available, we stayed in the modern hotel which has been built in the grounds. Worth following the link above, if interested. They also have a huge Roman mosaic on the estate, The Orpheus Mosaic
