I love this! Do you mind me asking if you used a macro lens or macro tubes and did you have to get right on top of the drops or could you stay back a little? I'm looking at a Nikon D3500 and I'm sure the two lens it comes with won't get close like this.
@marlboromaam this is some four months ago taken in the garden but do remember being hunched forward with one knee on the ground to get to more eye level than on top. There was just under half of the photo to the right cropped of (see my tags) 'cos couldn't get closer without flattening other plants plus it was raining. I was using my macro lens AF-s micro Nikkor 85mm 1:3.5G ED. Hope this helps with your choices.
@marlboromaam The specification of each lens should normally contain the minimum Focus distance - this I believe can be checked online before purchase. (If one of your kit lenses would be 18-55 - then it's minimum focus distance is 28cm from sensor (focal plane). That gives you about 20cm from lens front element (glass).
@ziggy77 Well I thought I replied to this. I know I typed it. I found this very helpful! Thank you! Can you set your Nikon to automatically bracket exposures?
@ziggy77 The deeper I dive into this, the more confused I become. LOL! I'll get straight eventually. I used to use a Minolta with several lens and filter attachments. I knew what I was doing with it. I miss film! Ack!
