I didn’t understand most of the instruction so turned to Google. So far I’ve been to a large hobby/craft (!) shop and purchased white foam-card and practiced with sunlight and changing f-stop. This is my first attempt, and is the best of a bad bunch! Also first time I've editted a photo using an online program. Still feel post editing is cheating and not really comfortable, but it's more white now.

Congrats on being selected a get-pushed finalist with this fantastic shot! You really aced the challenge. I no longer think post editing is cheating - but like you, was uncomfortable with it. Now in the steep learning curve of Photoshop Elements stage.
