I made a special visit to Grumpy's Ye Olde Sweete shop in town and asked for humbugs. Grumpy managed to lift his eyes from his olde laptop and sighed as he walked over to a plastic jar of RED striped sweets.
'Oh no' said I 'black and white ones please' In a tone of condescension he informed me that the black and white ones are not humbugs. As I required black and white I requested the smallest amount available and he measured out ye 50g, a handful and miserably handed them over.
I kidnapped a lamb from the nativity and made her balance in the non-humbug, lit a candle and took the photo.
If you really believe this was taken in one shot you haven't read many of my challenge photo uploads!!!
They are hard mint-tasting sweets (candy) but the word also has the meaning of something undesirable, hypocritical as in Scrooge's "Bah Humbug"opinion of Christmas.
