Those Leaves'll Be Gone After Ciara

Britain is battenning down the hatches as Storm Ciara is blowing herself in. We have an orange alert, my photography meet-up in Oxford has been cancelled, trains running slow (but what's new?) and as I type the sky is clear, the super-moon is super bright and there's a bit of a breeze.
Oh dear, hope you stay safe and have enough food and wine at home! Thoughts are with you 😊

With today’s weather, a little wind, but sunshine & fine, it’s hard to believe that some serious weather is on its way - could be a hoax?

please stay safe

Lovely image. Down in East Anglia still a lovely clear sky, cold but no sign of Ciara yet - see what tomorrow brings!

Ciara should be here tomorrow.....be safe for now

Lovely capture.

Ciara arrived in Edinburgh at around 4pm. Ruined the Scotland England match. Rest of us will get it through the evening and into tomorrow. Hopefully will have calmed down when I head SW for the week.

Glad you are staying hunkered down thru the storm...and really like the light/dark contrast here. Also that "peek-a-boo" tree behind the white one. It adds such depth both figuratively and literally.

I know the feeling about Storm Ciara it has got very blustery here now with heavy rain. I love the contrast between the white tree in the foreground and the black one in the background.

Nice contrasts between the brightness of the tree in front and the rest of the scene. Hope you have no major damage.

Love that white tree and black tree side by side.

Wild here at the mo and I suspect not much windsurfing going on in Cowes today!!! I like the black and the white here - white tree, dark tree.

love the contrasting trees and the light on the silver birch (if that's what it is!)
