Petal on a Plate

Northy challenged me to do a photo with distortion and to play with refraction, or a water reflection, or a funky lens, or post processing... to let the world be my oyster!

In the interests of full disclosure (and honesty - I nicked the flower!), the upper part is a flower's petals in a plate of water, to try and get a shot like Jo @ziggy77 does (and I failed!). The lower half is that photo copied, flipped and liquified in Affinity. The white on whiteness is all mine though!!

@northy Thanks for the challenge- I've often wondered what those 'live filters' do in Affinity. Steep learning curve with liquefy tool, i think this may be a bit too subtle so I'll have another play another day in the week.

Who cares how you did it. It’s the idea behind your creation that counts.

No matter how you achieved it- even by borrowing from others- it turned out great! By the way the saying goes "copying is the highest form of flattery" so you've complimented quite a few talented folks here as well. (o;
