Chawton House by 30pics4jackiesdiamond

Chawton House

Jane's brother changed his surname from Austen to Knight to be able to inherit Chawton house. He kindly let his sister live in a cottage down the road, and his other sister acted as nanny to his brood of offspring.

The drifts of snowdrops this year are very lovely, carpeting the slopes and outer parts of the wooded walk.

Pocketful of joy today - time with my lovely cousin
Love the tones, nice shot. Didn’t know that, wonder if I change my surname I can inherit anything 😀

Very dramatic looking photo With some terrific light, although a very foreboding sky in the background. That field of snowdrops is catching the light perfectly
