Now taking part in a Get Pushed challenge to get me out of my photographic comfort zone. Cindi has noticed I 'don't do' animals so has challenged me to take an animal portrait. Spotted this grey squirrel on next door's shed so quietly sneaked up on him and to make it more portraitey have cropped it.
Pleased with the clarity, especially that I captured that beady eye just as I was spotted (I was using that not very camoflaged bright red camera!).
Challenge proper starts tomorrow, hoping to borrow neighbours German shepherds during the week.
They can be a nuisance, but I think they are a very cute nuisance! We have two that frequent our garden & they have beaten just about every squirrel-proof nut/ seed feeder we have used! Tend to think, if it works hard enough for the food, it deserves it!
@summerfield thank you Vikki! So glad I remembered reading your views on this non- indigenous fluffy tailed rodent, and that you were first to respond!!!
@carole_sandford this one, I think, has a dray in the trees behind us. It's often carrying food along the fence and up then over into the jungle behind!
