I'm so unknowledgeable ( ignorant ) of our wildlife ( nature ) but even though I don't know its name/s I am observing it, looking it up in my book ( then Google if I have signal) and then being confirmed ( corrected ) by others. And I won't remember any of this next year when I see them, as if for the first time, again!!
Highlight of nature spotting so far??
A little grebe on the nest, so cleverly hidden, and when she spotted us, stood up, covered her eggs with a leaf and swam away underwater, like a missile.
I like the fact that you are documenting what you are discovering. At least you will have it to refer to in the future. This is a beautiful little flower/weed and your photo of it is terrific.
@wakelys@anniesue went to look at the little purple flowers today, and now they're not in bud it's obvious what they are!!
