This is a composite of three images. Each of those images was a focus stack of between 5 to 8 images.
WHY? I was challenged to play with bubbles by Annie. I played physically by blowing froth, experimented with lighting and the polarising filter and rapidly changing the focus, as the bubbles popped with impunity, to stack.
Processing outcome was disappointing, none of my bubble stacks looked stunning (or as if I'd done a load of work on them!) More playing with Affinity to do a bit of mirror slider sliding, experimenting and then deciding to use all my mirrored outcomes in this one image.
Honestly if you look closely, and maybe on black, you can make out the original polarised light on the surface of a bubble
