Lovely! I didn't know birds eat coconut shells. I have a tough time keeping the squirrels away from the bird food! I give them lots of peanuts but they want all the food! :(
@gardenfolk The shell was filled with fat (suet I think) and seeds and the Tit families pecked it all out. We dont have squirrels in our garden - sadly - so no probs with protecting the bird feeders!
