Interesting shot. My first thought was a mixer but yet the shadows make it look like those rings are directly on the surface - not just at the end of a rod?

It is actually a "Flow Ring". When collapsed it just looks like a collection of metal hoops and when it springs up - Ta Dah!! It looks like this!
