Today my son was to have gone cruising with my brother on his new (to him) narrowboat. However, due to the CRT being extremely tardy and inefficient at reparing not one but two broken lock gates the cruise had to be cancelled. So we went for a visit anyway.
Too bad the trip was cancelled, but this appears to be a beautiful boat. I hope your brother and his guests (hopefully you and your son) get to "cruise" with him often after the travelways are repaired.
@randystreat Sadly the cruise will not go ahead this year, it was the last opportunity before next summer @gijsje Yes, it has a lot of history to it! The painting on the doors and other places is wonderful @ludwigsdiana Sadly James (my son) will not now be able to cruise with his uncle until next summer. @30pics4jackiesdiamond There are other lovely paintings on the boat too! @ljmanning Indeed Laura, it there is a lot of tradition about this boat @koalagardens I wasnt able to get a shot to show all it's 68 ft length! @shutterbug49 Yes, I have a very disappointed son! @peadar It has a lot of traditional aspects to it Peter, but I actually prefer the one he has just moved off! @quietpurplehaze. The paintings are wonderful on this boat!
