Over in "the dark room" it's white-on-white week and this is a failed attempt - I could not get rid of the shadow! Grrrrrr

@30pics4jackiesdiamond @koalagardens @jacqbb @randystreat @shutterbug49 Ok, so once again I have made something so much more difficult for myself! I have no idea where I go the idea that there should be no shadows - but now I can see totally why the shadows need to be there! Thanks to you all!

I found that a mirror reflecting the light back can eliminate a lot of the shadow and make it softer.

@farmreporter Thanks Wendy, I have tried using a mirror for other shots and have never actually got on too well! Something else to persevere with I guess!
