If this was a pier, it has sen better days. But the zigzag look of the pilings and boards make me think it was not a pier, but some sort of sea wall/break.
@photographycrazy Thanks! @koalagardens thank you Katrina, that was what caught my eye! @sutterbug49 Not, this was never a pier, they are groynes which help to stop the sand moving along the beach - the North Norfolk Coast is always windy! @randystreat No, was never a pier - it is a groyne to help keep the sand from blowing along the beach/erosion happening. The zig zag is repeated for the whole row but from this angle it looks like straight lines! @joansmor Thank you Joan @olivetreeann I thought it would work well for leading lines Ann, the zig zag runs the whole length of the groyne but from this angle it looks like a straight line!
