Sprague Fire in Glacier National Park by 365karly1

Sprague Fire in Glacier National Park

For those of you who have been to Glacier this is McDonald Lake at the Apgar Village looking north.
The smoke to the right is the Sprague fire that is still not controlled. Lake McDonald Lodge was closed a month early with everyone being evacuated a few days ago. Not any real danger but the smoke had become a real issue to the workers. We all have our fingers crossed hoping our beautiful park is not burned up!
Love it, fav!

Those fires are so awful. A shame to see such beauty being destroyed.

Fabulous shot, tragic about the fire though.

This breaks my heart. I'm so sorry about the Montana fires this year!

I didn't realize that they still hadn't gotten the fires controlled. Like your shot but worry about your wonderful park. Have it on my list for next summer hopefully.

I would be worried about the park too with an uncontrolled fire there.

A stunning scene, I too hadn't realised the fires were still burning. Such a shame
