Thinking of Sperry Chalet in Glacier

This image is not the trail to Sperry Chalet - just one from the archives of Glacier Park. So sad today because Sperry Chalet - over 100 years old and in service all of that time - was burned to the ground by the Sprague Fire. We are all in mourning but also so grateful that all of the firefighters are safe.
gorgeous scenic view... fantastic perspective...love the hiking trail and the different shades of blue.. fav

We've stayed at Many Glacier Hotel once and Lake McDonald Lodge twice. Both just magical places to stay. I'm so sorry for the loss of this historical gem. 😢

Beautiful place - sorry to hear of the happening - but remember wonder will rise from the ashes even though the place will never be the same.

I was just reading about those fires this morning. A true tragedy, but...then again, nature does need wildfires every once in awhile.

@purdey @psychographer Thank you for your comments. Sharon - unfortunately the fires are still raging. Much of NW Montana and other parts of Montana have large fires. Praying for rain and no wind.
