Groundhog Day

These overcast days are good for something- on Groundhog Day (Feb. 2nd), if a groundhog, emerging from its burrow, does not see its shadow, then we will have an early spring. (If a groundhog sees its shadow, then we will have six more weeks of winter). Wiarton Willie, the beloved groundhog from the Bruce Peninsula, did NOT see his shadow today! "Okay, Willie, I'm holding you to it!"
