There are points around town where you can pick up an electric bike and drop it off somewhere else. The aim is to reduce traffic and encourage people to exercise. While I applaud the aim, the price-point makes me wonder if it will work. There's a £1 unlocking fee and then a charge of 16p per minute - it's still cheaper to drive or take the bus and walking is free.
Love the picture, the scheme sounds ill thought out. If you want to encourage people to do something shouldn't you at least start by making it less expensive than the alternative?
