A few black-headed gulls have recently arrived at the village pond and have wasted no time in making their presence felt. Despite being smaller than most of the other birds at the pond, (except the moorhens who tend to keep to themselves) they are noisy, quarrelsome and prone to dive-bombing the other residents.
