I feel that my shoes are a testament to my dedication to go walking daily, and I had a feeling of success when shoe-goo could no longer hold the soles together! I took my last walk in them a couple of weeks ago, but saved them for one last picture...and from here, they went to the trash. They served me well!
I love it....but...not just the photo of the shoes and the story behind them, but that it's a really great self portrait too, Louise!
You look happy and content, and ready to "let" your shoes go!
And they were lucky to have served you so well! ;-)
this is fantastic! I love the story behind it, the picture tells it well. good job on the walking, it's something I've never been able to commit to doing routinely but it feels so good when you do!
Very good, I have a pair of old safety toe shoes, my wife wants me to throw them away, but they still fit the purpose even if they do have duct tape on toe to hold in the steel part. Oh, I only where them at home. Have had them for about 15 years so I got my monies worth for sure
Good for you! I feel like I am slowly turning to stone sitting behind an office computer everyday, and have fantasized about having the energy to get out and walk every day. Maybe I just need a good pair of shoes? Ha! Love this portrait of you...very cute!
Wow! This is such a wonderful photo. I love the perspective and depth of field. And love the focus on your faithful old shoes that served you so well right up to the end! I salute you for sticking with a daily walking program.
I absolutely don't mind having you follow me... The more the merrier..... This is a great / fun photo by the way. Good for you getting out and walking everyday. It's inspirational and motivating, I really should start getting out more.... Maybe I'll make that a goal for this year.
i love this , the story is great , the detail of the shoe gooo lol and most of all ur happy smiling face .. u look like u would be a ball to have as a friend xxx
I love how you kept using "shoe-goo" to keep them going a while longer...very practical...and besides there are so many choices when you go to buy new ones that it will be hard to decide!
Taking no chances, I was breaking in a new pair of shoes before giving one last nod to these tried-and-true companions! A little sad that it was such an inglorious finale...
this is great!! and good for you for wearing out those shoes. i, too, just threw out my old pair...and although it was hard to part with them, there is nothing like the feel of that first walk or run in new ones!
Awesome photo, I don't think I can say anything that hasn't been said already... Just keep up the good work, both with the walking and the photography :)
I have to laugh because I just tossed my 5 year old barn mucking /riding boots--it was a painful separation, but they also were coming apart! I didn't honor them with a picture as you do here, but I did take pictures of my new boots so I could document their progress.
