Having the good fortune to live where the weather's mild most of the year, we use our yard as we would an additional room. Recently, we've taken our coffee outside and enjoyed the morning sun. We visit with friends out here, play Scrabble, watch the birds, barbecue and have dinner outside until late in the year. We've lived here a long time and have a lot of good memories in this little corner of our world.
Wow Louise what a fabulous place to have! If only we had weather in the UK that would make this possible. Thank you for all your lovely comments on my pictures and the ones you make to others. You always find something nice to say. :-)
Your yard looks lovely. What a peaceful place to sit and relax. We are starting to feel a hint of warmth here in Cambridge - i.e. the kind where it feels lovely and warm when you're on a brisk walk but hypothermia could still set in if you tried sitting too long over your coffee!
so jealous! although its been nice enough here the past couple of days that im taken my coffee and a sweatshirt out onto the porch. i dont have any porch furniture though lol.
What a great way to start off the day. And they say you would miss the 4 seasons we have in Canada if you lived in California - I think not! Great shot
if i can't live with you, i want to be your neighbor. i'll knock on your door everyday and ask you to play scrabble with me...on top of harrassing you on giving me photography tricks and tips =) oh, and you're going to have a hard time trying to get me out of your pool.
Oh, Rainee, how cute you are! You probably agree this is a lovely "community" to live in, and I'm refering to everyone who steps in, shares their art, and leaves thoughtful responses...all people we'd delight in knowing and having as a neighbor. Dora: We do lack those highly touted *4 Seasons* (unless it's, as some suggest, Fire, Mudslides, Earthquakes &...can't remember the other!) Photography tips, Rainee? For me, I'm still 99% point and shoot...just learned the word yesterday, SOOC...that's pretty much me. So lets learn and figure this all out together...we've got good community leaders & *very* nice neighbors!
I spent Christmas morning in that very same spot. I can attest that is uber serene. Supposed to hit close to 70 here today, but snow again on Saturday. Oh, how I love the unpredictability of Chicago spring! (insert sarcasm here ;) xo
Loving the pool! What a place to relax!! Great shot. Love the perspective you chose to take the shot from and how the trees frame the view. It makes everything feel even more cozy and relaxed. Love it. :)
Ha! Even looking at the thumbnail of this pic, I was not surprised to see that 24 others had already commented on it. We have all been drawn to your paradise like moths to a flame. In fact, imagine us all sitting by your side right now, enjoying the warmth of the sun and refreshing breezes...but don't forget to go stock up on coffee beans...you're going to have to fill a LOT of mugs! :-)
What a nice way to start your day. I, too, am jealous...especially since I sold my house (with a wooded backyard) and moved to a townhouse development...now my backyard is a postage stamp with no view other than the kitchen of the townhouse behind me...but the plus side is I no longer have to maintain the yard myself...which gives me more time to "play." Trade-offs for everything I guess.
What time's coffee? ;-)
This is fabulous x
