My Nova Scotia Cat, Dill... Auntie Lou-ease is back
We've got so many wonderful friends up here in Lunenburg, I decided I couldn't play favorites with one before another. Who did come to see us this morning with his daddies, Billy & David, is our dearly loved kitty, DIll. (See http://365daysintheyear.shutterfly.com/586 to see how he came by that name. Pictures there, too, of friends and a bit of the house.)
We keep treats for Dill, and we often find him at our back door. Today he arrived at 11, and finally at 7:30 we carried him back to his home. If a cat can show you how happy he is to see you again, Dill did it today in spades! I hope you like beautiful blue-eyed white cats...you'll be seeing him more than once this summer.
What a precious looking cat, I can't wait to see more of him! Glad you've all arrived safely, and I look forward to your photos from your new surroundings.
Oh my gosh, I could have sworn I just saw him flex his paw. Really! Ha! He is such a sweetie....he reminds me of my friend's little Hurley that I put up here day before yesterday (without the two little smudge marks on his forehead). So glad you're still gonna get some kitty-lovin' over the next four months. :-)
Louise, I Love Dill!!! And Brad's comment above is so funny! :-) If Dill is sleeping so peacefully, it means he fully trusts you and is comfortable around you! Looking forward to seeing more pictures of this white blue-eyed beauty! It must feel great to be back among all your friends and catch up on life in Lunenburg! Thank you for stopping by and leaving a sweet comment on my photo! :-)
Love this photo...and was about to be a smart alec like Brad and say I can tell he is "thrilled" to see you by the way he is zoned out...but Brad beat me to it...sweet kitty though!
Louise and Ken...want you to know I tried to post this reply (see below) on Shutterfly but couldn't...it allowed me to login but it did not seem to want to accept my comment...maybe it will show up later...but in the meantime...here is my comment about "Clark discovering his street!
Re - the photo you posted on Shutterfly with Ken pointing to his sign!
Love, love, love it...and of course we *know* Clark deserves his own street, but knowing him, he'd probably just say, " Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn!"
IB - International Bacelaueate - another form of advanced placement classes, only each class lasts two years! It's possible to "cherry pick" but the diploma candidates take a full course of IB classes, so she's in the throes of exams right now.
That is one contented kitty in a rather fab chair! Glad you have arrived safely and looking forward to meeting some of your neighbors. Say "hi" to B for me! Hopefully I will have another batch of Tahoe magic to share soon. =) *hugs*
oh, louise, it's such a relief to be back here again, i was waiting for 3 loooong days to get this website running again! thanks a lot for all your wonderful comments...i hope to write a longer comment to you again. miss you a lot...
awwwww so adorable---thats neat that you have another friend named Della--I have only known one other and she lived across from me my first year in college :)
Louise, where do you find the time!! Not only posting up pictures but keeping in touch with us all! Thanks for taking time out to even look at my pheasant's egg. And yes, they are very common in this part of the world, not only in the fields but in the garden.
Sounds like you are already 'at home' :-)
the white cat looks very beautiful on a multi-coloured couch, this is such a great capture, louise! thanks for your note about florence n., i must always remember her meaningful and fruitful life to inspire me in what i do.
I forwarded your note, Jojo, to B&D... In actuality, I may be spoiling *their* summer plans...they keep trying to give me a litter box for him, and they already stocked me up with food and treats!
omg! this is hilarious! looks like antie Lou spoiled the crap of him already :)) btw, sue forward that "magazing photo" to us, i was cracking up! thanks for sharing! :)
OHMY! I saw the picture and this cat's name of Dill. And I thought to myself...Hmmm is it because of my most favorite book? And YES IT IS! I LOVE THIS BOOK! That's such a perfect name for this lovely creature! hahaha. I really learned about people and accepting each other for their differences. It's so good to walk around in other people's shoes! :)
This picture makes me miss my kitty. We had to give her away when we moved. Luckily we found someone who already had a few playmates for her and lots of acres with birds and such to look at.

Beautiful picture. He is so handsome. Hey Louise I didn't realize you were headed to the east coast. Welcome! I love Novia Scotia and hope to get up there for a visit this fall. My family used to spend a couple of weeks on Prince Edwards Isle every summer when we were kids. Beautiful up there. Glad you made it safely!
Zonked. Out. What a great picture. So many things to like about it: the framing, the colors, the subject matter. This almost makes me want to get a cat. Almost.
cute kitty!!!!!! thanks for the comment, that made me so happy. if i only had more time to just get paid for looking at 365. how do i find that job? haha, i miss seeing everyones stuff. esp. yours. sshhh
Oh pretty kitty! So cute! Sorry I've been outta touch awhile, Louise. I got to read Ellen's email about your NS connection. Love it... great stories & what a bunch of wonderful experiences in so many places! Things have been busy so I've been posting, but barely. Anyway, looks like you're having a wonderful time up there and what a beautiful place!
@allie912 Poignant for me to read this again as well. But as I scroll through the many comments, I see how many people we once knew here who've moved on and left 365 behind...
