My captions are beginning to sound alike...
All day out sightseeing...
Shopping in nearby Mahone Bay...
Beer & nachos in the Mug & Anchor Pub...
Back home, our houseguests asked us to invite Billy & David to join us for dinner...Dill was already wandering around the kitchen. Marlaine made us an amazing meal...tomato, mozzarella & basil salad, sauted peppers tossed with penne, Italian sausage & scallops. While in Mahone Bay, Nelda bought a "home made" rhubarb pie, ready to bake in the oven. We had that with espresso for dessert.
After dinner, we cleared the table and played Scattergories before settling in the living room. All the while, Dill shared the evening with us. He's so special to me, his picture superceded "a lighthouse in the fog" and "the three churches along the water's edge in Mahone Bay".
I'm trying to have it all...every minute with my friends, and time on 365 when everyone's gone to bed. Last night I didn't quite until 3:30...I'm not doing that again! Good night!
It sounds as though you are having a wonderful summer and making the most of every minute. And this guy...well, I just don't even want to think about the goodbye scene when it's time for you to head south again. Will he fit in your carry-on luggage? :)
Lovely shot of dill and beautiful bokeh! I had a weekend almost as busy as your daily routine... almost... Saturday we went for a hike around Sly Park (where I remembered the sunblock and forgot the bug repellent so itchy fun!) and got some amazing wildflower shots. On the way home I decided that I wanted to go to the coast since I had plans to see Dave Sunday and knew I could not do both Sunday. 1:30 Nathaniel and I hopped in the car and headed to San Francisco. It was a lucky trip all the way around. Made it there by 3, hit the Palace of Fine Arts, a nature preserve and then the beach. I got some amazing shots of the bridge even with a crowded beach and headed home to be in bed on time. Unfortunately we picked a case of food poisoning for dinner so were feeling pretty yucky Sunday. I still got to see Dave for a bit but the visit was definitely abbreviated. Today was Eclipse, shopping and laundry. Now I am off to bed too so I am not up to late. Works expects me to be there in the morning and I like to pay my bills so I have to play along. =) Good night my friend. *hugs*
What a cute white cat Dill is. ...& what a lovely photo
& I know what you mean when you say "He's so special to me" every morning we still expect Tilly to be waiting in our utility room for us, where she slept at night , its very weird that she is no longer with us and all her little things are now gone from the room..
What a beautiful job you did cropping and processing this photo of Dill. Love it but I do want to see those other shots that didn't get posted ...and that penne pasta sounded soooo good...what kind of sauce did you have on it....too many questions, eh?
Dill is just so adorable! Wow, Scattergories! I used to LOVE that game, but I haven't played it in ages. You keep such a busy schedule... I don't think I could keep up with you! Make sure you take some time to take it easy too!
Awwwww....cute, cute Dill. Yes, Melissa is warning you to be sure and get some rest between all the festive parties and 365. I agree. It's not easy, but you have to walk away sometimes in order to keep your sanity.
BTW - I was up at 3:30am this morning, too. After two hours of sleep, we were awakened by what sounded like breaking glass and a crash outside our Indiana house in the woods. We've had a break-in out there, so we called the police and waited to explore the woods until after they arrived. The police officer jumped when we turned the corner and spotted what he said was a very large animal behind the house. We still don't know what it was, but it had managed to remove our wind-chime and drag it into the woods. Phew! No burglars...but probably a very large, pesky raccoon doing what raccoons do. We finally went back to bed for about an hour and then heard another crash. Surprise...our bird feeder was now gone. Pesky, pesky raccoons! Hmmmmm...thinking WE could use a Dill around our place to keep some order. What do you think? Does he make house-calls?
Oh Louise, this is a w o n d e r f u l picture of Dill! I love the spot of color up in the left hand corner, too. * A fav*. Your captions sound like every day is a gift that you indulge yourself in and enjoy! Way to be!!!
Louise, I saw this on the popular page, and I knew it was Dill!! He is gorgeous!! I love every photo of him you post! It sounds like your days are busy and full! We just had dinner (I made tomato&basil salad, too) and I finally managed to find some time for 365! Staying up past midnight every day took its toll on me and i slept in until 9 this morning! It felt soo good for a change! The house is progressing quickly - Jeremy had me pick paint colors today! I think we are going over there tomorrow - getting closer to moving in soon ;-) Make sure you get some sleep and give Dill a kiss from me! ;-))
This shot is perfect Louise. The focus, the bokeh, composition, etc. Like Slava, I too saw this on the popular page and immediately knew it was Dill. :) Also, to completely contrast your meal, I had a bowl of Cheerios tonight so it's always great to not only vacation vicariously through you, but to get some good eats too. Enjoy and get some rest.
This is such a beautiful photo of Dill. The cropping is great d the blurs of light in tehe background are so cool. The detail of the nose and whiskers are amazing.
I LOVE this shot. Saw it on the popular page, and the funny thing is, I didn't even have to click on it to recognize that it was Dill!! I am glad that you've enjoyed my kitty photos. My cats are all such hams, I am more than happy to share their goofiness with all my fellow 365ers!
Oh Dear...I have too many of those late nights, as well.
Trying to catch up on everything, but then I pay for it the next day.
Which can start the cycle all over again! Oy.
Still, I've tried to rest a bit more in the last few weeks ( as I've sorely - no pun intended - needed it...but it means giving up on some things...like looking through so many fabulous photos.
I have healed fairly well. Better than I expected..so I am very happy about that. No more bandages, which is a HUGE accomplishment, considering my last surgeries.
Anyway...I got all tangental there....meant to tell you that I ADORE Dill from afar!
I suspect he would hate me though, as it would be very hard to keep my hands off him. ;-)
oh he is just the sweetest. i looovvvee how close up this is and how you feel like you could kiss him right there on that sweet little spot. the bokeh in the background is gorgeous too... awesome shot!
xoxoxo
And kiss Dill on the nose for me :)
BTW, I thought of you and Ken today when I saw a guy at Whole Foods playing Scrabble (I think by himself!)!!
