In a word, "yes"! However, you too are allowed the days when you are too busy, too preoccupied or anything else .... The still life is beautiful and purple does make me think of you! Like it.
September 28th, 2010
I'd say 'minimalist'. :) Pretty shot.

Very nice still life Louise ...

September 28th, 2010

September 28th, 2010
Not surprising that you might have a case of jet lag! I often have a bit of a slump after a long trip. You'll bounce back, I'm sure.Your picture taking hasn't suffered any, it's lovely!
September 28th, 2010
No, it's the time of the year and anyway your picture says it all. So don't worry :-)

September 28th, 2010
With a picture like that you are allowed to just stand still and look.
September 28th, 2010

September 28th, 2010

September 28th, 2010
nothing to say... but a fab picture!! re: window reflection... thank goodness it is not only me with nose prints!
September 28th, 2010
It is definitely a change for you, but as they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words..." It's a beautiful still. It looks great, and I'm sure you are having a grand time and will be back with a great story to share. By the way, I just wanted to interject here, I think Eva is going to enjoy the project. She seems to have a sharp eye for photography, and with the encouragement from all the friends on here, she will blossom, I'm sure. Have a great day.
September 28th, 2010
Since I'm late to your project today...all the good lines are gone! So...I'll simply say - gorgeous shot! Love the composition.
September 28th, 2010
Nice colors. It speaks for itself.
September 28th, 2010
Hi Louise. You have captured a beautiful combo. No words are necessary... just look at that pretty picture.
September 28th, 2010
Beautiful shot, i am taking a guess- but is having nothing to say another interpretation of still life?
September 28th, 2010
I would be surprised, great capture Louise, love the texture
September 28th, 2010
What would YOU do if I sang out of tune? :-)
September 28th, 2010
BTW - I hope you do become a frequent visitor to Chicago! You know you won't be able to get enough of the little munchkin and will have to come back time and time again to make a photo journal of his/her growth. :-)

Besides, you have to be able to come out to Michigan City sometime and see Chicago from the OTHER side of the lake. http://365project.org/Swazzette/365/2010-09-26

You are welcome to use anything I ever say as a quote! LOL I'm still in the pfft, etc phase, but this too shall pass, right!?
I like this photo and the colors, btw. I'm sure your home and surroundings are just as beautiful as your summer home. . . minus Dill ( WHAAAAAAAAAA) You are such a beautiful person, I am certain your are surrounded by things, people, settings that match your insides!

September 28th, 2010
@glyn and all the rest of you...Thanks to Pottery Barn, those hydrangeas can grace the mantle year round ;-)
September 28th, 2010
Great shot! One of my wife's favorite stores too. Gotta say there is never a short supply of fabric flowers around this house! They look real nice against the wood grain.
September 28th, 2010
Hmmm....but by saying nothing you actually said something. Nice idea for a picture. I like purple!
September 28th, 2010

September 29th, 2010
Thank you for your comment. I still have a lot to learn, but I did figure out I need to adjust the white balance setting, and I used a gray card for exposure. Another lesson tomorrow!
September 29th, 2010
