well....kinda. you usually have such wonderfully colorful anecdotes about your day, it's kinda strange, not to have it. though will all the responses you do, i'm sure you're talked out. and if anyone is deserving of a break, you are! have a great night "off"!! :P
Lovely still life, nice composition. It's strange not to have a big commentary form you, everyone deserves a little break :) hope you enjoyed your day!
I'm about to go to bed, but checked my email one last time. ohhh ohhh ohhh... pumpkin scones. that sounds divine!! if you have the chance, I'd love to try it out! never made scones before! thanks for the sweet dreams!! :)
In a word, "yes"! However, you too are allowed the days when you are too busy, too preoccupied or anything else .... The still life is beautiful and purple does make me think of you! Like it.
Very nice still life Louise ...
(just checked your traveling distance to try & get some perspective if we were to travel the same distance ... Manchester UK to Richmond US is approx 3,500 miles ... That's some journey you two have just taken.. lol )
this is a beauty. and i have to say, going through yours pictures made me realize what i've missed. you have something to every photo you post that's a joy to see. there's warmth undeniably.
Not surprising that you might have a case of jet lag! I often have a bit of a slump after a long trip. You'll bounce back, I'm sure.Your picture taking hasn't suffered any, it's lovely!
It is definitely a change for you, but as they say, "A picture is worth a thousand words..." It's a beautiful still. It looks great, and I'm sure you are having a grand time and will be back with a great story to share. By the way, I just wanted to interject here, I think Eva is going to enjoy the project. She seems to have a sharp eye for photography, and with the encouragement from all the friends on here, she will blossom, I'm sure. Have a great day.
BTW - I hope you do become a frequent visitor to Chicago! You know you won't be able to get enough of the little munchkin and will have to come back time and time again to make a photo journal of his/her growth. :-)
You are welcome to use anything I ever say as a quote! LOL I'm still in the pfft, etc phase, but this too shall pass, right!?
I like this photo and the colors, btw. I'm sure your home and surroundings are just as beautiful as your summer home. . . minus Dill ( WHAAAAAAAAAA) You are such a beautiful person, I am certain your are surrounded by things, people, settings that match your insides!
Great shot! One of my wife's favorite stores too. Gotta say there is never a short supply of fabric flowers around this house! They look real nice against the wood grain.
@naomi...Everything's just fine...I looked at this photo and couldn't think of a thing to say. I appreciate that you all found something to comment on!
Louise! I am utterly surprised!! I have NEVER seen a photo of yours where the caption wasn't at least a paragraph long. I am ........astonished. I love what you have to say.
Thank you for your comment. I still have a lot to learn, but I did figure out I need to adjust the white balance setting, and I used a gray card for exposure. Another lesson tomorrow!
yes, I am quite surprised. I'm playing catch up with your photos! I always love hearing the adventures you take, and not this with photo.
but I suppose that's a still life for you eh? It's supposed to tell a story...so that there's not need for words. This is a lovely photo for the theme! :D
Me: not so much! I'd be worried about how that image was taken too!
nice shot as usual Louise :)

I love this shot - very nice!
I know you'll be back with more to say soon :D
Besides, you have to be able to come out to Michigan City sometime and see Chicago from the OTHER side of the lake. http://365project.org/Swazzette/365/2010-09-26

Love the simplicity.
