We have several hanging baskets of epiphyllum in our back yard and love the blooms. These immense flowers last only a day, but this one plant is covered in blooms at various stages.
Gorgeous color - and you have terrific bokeh in the background!
(and RE: bad stage shots, there was no spotlight - there was no lighting at all - very strange! I didn't want to use a flash because it's so distracting, so all my shots came out too dark or blurry.)
@allie912 After a day looking like this, the flowers close and droop. There's color there, but usually only one or two blossoms bloom at a time, as I caught here.
@allie912@lachapaudie Back on May 27, 2011 you asked to see more regarding these blooms. I'm posting a couple of new photos today, one of which will show the scale, I hope.
