Sun's shining...breeze is blowing...and because I need a wee gift to take to a friend who turns 100 today, I whipped up some meringue kisses! We're going to an open house to celebrate the 100th birthday of the morther of good friends here in town. My friend, Gillian said to me, "Plan to stay on after the open house... We'll open the wine and have a party for the grownups!"
I'll take lots of photos of the gathering and it always makes a good gift when the party's over!
They look yummy and So Perfect, like they were machine made. What's the secret? Wow - 100! I would love to talk to her and hear her perspective on all the changes she has seen in her lifetime. Just imagine..so much has happened since 1911!
@sytse That piping tube and the tip in the upper left photo is the secret to pretty meringues. I've been making them for years, and I still end up with sticky meringue on my hands, but they're oh so worth the effort!
Hi there Louise, thanks for taking a look at my boys recently! What a great collage, 100 years is such an awesome achievement, thse cakes look so yummy! Congratulations to your friend!
What a special and wonderful gift. They look so delicious, love the collage. We get to see the stages of production. Turning 100 definitely deserves a celebration! Happy Birthday to your friend!
YUM!! I love these, but I've never tried them! Can I have the recipe, please? :-) Love how you decorated them! I am trying to stay on track with my 365 project, but I still haven't found time to catch up with all comments. As always, thank you so much for your sweet notes! Our three little kitties send lots of purrs and kisses :-)
