The countdown begins...less than 24 hours to go. We've got Maui reconnected with her real family, but I suspect she'll need to be retrieved from our door for awhile. We loved that she hung out with us for a long while this morning. It was like having our own cat all summer...she'll be missed...
...but there's no time to get teary... We've got a friend coming to dinner tonight...tomorrow friends from Georgia dock in Halifax and drive down to have lunch with us...and we're having dinner with neighbors tomorrow night. So two more sleeps and we're off to the airport...
Where did the time go?!
(If you read my caption you'll see this will probably be my last posting from Lunenburg, though I'll fill in with final photos at a later date. I'm pretty much packed and all I need to do is put my computer in the suitcase... ...it's so hard to say good-bye...)
I know the missing will be mutual. You've made her summer special. And we've enjoyed seeing the relationship through your photos. Safe travels from beautiful Lunenburg to you and Ken!
What a beautiful cat! Some friends had one just like this but she recently passed away. I'm so glad that you have been able to reunite her with her family. It is so easy to get attached to them.
Safe, safe travels! I hope that you will post soon so that I know that you have arrived okay. Beautiful cat. Oh, and I'm so sorry that I haven't been able to comment lately. My schedule is so busy this year.
Lovely shot Louise! You'll miss Maui :)
My your time has flown in Lunenburg this year. Happy dining with your friends & you & Ken have a safe trip home.
@tjramutkowski We have our fingers crossed that she'll still be in the neighborhood next year. We now know her owner teaches in a nearby town, but she's young, likely rents and might move before we return... Things always evolve...Maui filled the Dill void, so we'll see what next summer holds...
Such a pretty kitty, Louise. I think you will always attract kitties - they know you have a soft spot for them and something yummy to eat. If not Maui, there will be another cat, I'm sure.
I posted a black cat pic today too!
