I'm having a love affair this summer with the gorgeous Tall Ships that have come to Lunenburg! We attended another party at "Billy's Boat Shed" in Indian Point this evening and I got a lot of nice "people pictures", but I was still on the hunt for something with a little more sizzle before the sun went down. We were told this square-rigged ship, built in Lunenburg 52 years ago, was back in port so we stopped by to see it as the sun sank below the horizon. This was the best shot I could get from the parking lot, but I was delighted when I put it up on the computer. The gates open for the boat tour tomorrow morning and we'll be there bright and early.
@melissapike@russianblue@kathleenn Thank you all for tagging this a favourite! It feels good to have others who feel an enthusiasm for this beautiful ship, too!
@chard I'll take that as a compliment, and I think it's an image that would always be a pleasure to see... Also, knowing those 2nd and 3rd albums get buried, here's one I left especially for you http://365project.org/Weezilou/album-excess/2012-07-22
hello louise! your photos are SO fabulous these days! i logged back on because they were going to delete my account and was nice to see your smiling face. hope you are well!
indeed the same colors as in 'my' sky, how strange! Or maybe not, it's just one great big sky that we're all living under, isn't it? :-) Beautiful ship, very 'piraty'.
