(Note to Self: ...Breathe... ...Center... ... ok...)
We've just returned from a two-day road trip to see the fall colours, and we haven't seen such peak colouration in a number of years! Since I posted Monday's photo of Ken taking a photo, we spent the entire week chasing the colour... like a sunset, it only lasts a moment.
Ken was just unpacking after we arrived home, when I saw the reflected colour on the living room wall, grabbed the camera and was greeted with this! It had rained for a half hour earlier in the afternoon, and the damp leaves catching the setting sun made the tree shimmer as though it was on fire! It certainly wasn't necessary to alter this in any way but to correct the levels.
WOW!
...about 3000 photos this week... I have some work to do! Thanks for staying with me and giving me a little back pat as I look up only long enough to express a grateful "thank you"! ♥
WOW!! I was starting to wonder where you were, but obviously it was time very well spent!! And, then, to come back home and find this right outside your front door...so loving your Happy Days!! May all your days be filled with overflowing joy, color, and perfect light!! :-))))
@stray_shooter I was already out there with the camera when I called Ken to come as fast as he could to see it! I got about 10 photos of the tree and the area and it was gone!
@joysfocus Not a lick of color change from what was there in front of me! God's palette in this one...let's give Him a round of applause! (that's how I attend church!)
@cruiser Thanks Chris! 6:30 AM and I obviously couldn't wait to get started! So if I'd just walk away from 365... And it's not like I have all day... breakfast at a restaurant with friends at 9 and a beautiful church-venue for a wonderful band performance in the middle of the afternoon! My mind thinks strange things at this hour...Loving it here, I feel like I'm in heaven, but maybe it's the opposite as I'm running ragged trying to keep up and deal with all the photos at the same time! (And I'm about out of hard-drive space!)

@joansmor Wow Joan! You're up even earlier than I am! Thanks for the underscore about what's been happening up here! It's nothing short of magical this year, isn't it?! Aren't we the lucky ones to be thinking of preserving some of it "on film" to pour over when the snow blows! (well, *some* of us hunkered down by the fire, anyway, Those people who are called "snowbirds" as they arrive down South are really *chickens*!) Have a good'n m'friend!

@kidatheart Merry Christmas, Krissy! Like you, I'm now homesick for NS as we're back in SoCal for the next several months. It's a magical place, and I love knowing people who recognize that about it! Do come back for a visit! We'd love to meet you and your new hubby!
