When we went to Sherbrooke Village (Nova Scotia) with Vikki and Bill I bought a couple of these beautifully handmade tops for the boys for Christmas. Ashton has mastered the spinning (but you have to hold your tongue *just so*...)
@janetb I SO AGREE about the character of an old, well-made toy that uses a child's imagination! In time he'll segue to something more modern, but I intend to hold him at bay as long as possible!
@ceilidh Oh, it did the same for me as well, which is why I bought them! Next...I know we have marbles in a jar from Ken's childhood...
@eyesmile Glad to see you mention the "tics"... I remember being teased about that same "facial tic" as I was at the typewriter back when I was in college!
@777margo We "of a certain age" remember using our imagination instead of staring at "a screen"...
@tunia Clearly he wasn't distracted! He'd been trying to figure how long it would spin before tumbling!
@kwind@francoise Thanks to you both! It's been a pleasure watching the little ones have fun!

Brings back a lot of memories about a broken window and so.
Great shot of the cute boy
