@maggiemae@tj22 Past midnight here , and the New Zealanders are stopping by! I'm about to fold up shop for the night, but so glad to have had your visits! And yes, Maggiemae, "Marshmallow" is quite the Food Fellow! He's got me well trained!
@pamknowler Thanks, Pam! Is he not the cutest?! Look at those little fingers! We got 3 different photos like this tonight...which means he maxed out on his marshmallow quota!
Oh, this is priceless! Those ears, that masked face, the outstretched paw, two little feet planted firmly on the ground, expectant look in the eye...what an adorable little critter and what a fun experience for you!
@stray_shooter ..Tap Dance... He's got the whole hand thing going for "shuffle off to Buffalo"... And tell me, do you have any lessons planned for the wee ones outside your front door?!
When I was a child (you know back in the time before electricity-lol) we went camping. One of the things that we did was go to the local dump to watch the animals feed at night including the bears. We were in the car of course and I took tootsie rolls to feed to the raccoons. They loved them but so funny to watch them eating them.
@joansmor What a delightful story, Joan! Being of the same era, I recall driving through Yellowstone with the windows rolled down so the bears could come up to the car!!! (that was about 1953) I love reading that yous folks were so clever as to know the animals would be at the dump! And Tootsie Rolls! Oh, I can easily imagine their joy at receiving the sweet treat and the difficulty in chewing them!! Great story!
@Weezilou We were camping and word spreads in camp grounds. The scary time was the night I woke up and a bear was passing outside the tent under the yawning. I just lay as quiet as I could. Glad my parents paid attention to the warnings to keep all food in the car.
