Make Yourselves at Home ...

As far as they're concerned, everything's just Ducky...
Works so well with the texture.

This seriously looks like beautiful artwork to hang on a wall! Wonderful work with the textures, Louise. What fun to have this pair so near!

@danette Thanks, Danette. I kept applying PS artistic effects one atop another. I needed some art therapy and I completely immersed myself in this one!

Great shot, super processing, and a good laugh at the caption. What more could I ask for?

@golftragic Thank you Marnie! It was just the break I needed today as I was doing this!

@janetb Thank you Janet. I do love having them feel so at home here...more than Ken does! But I love that they're disturbed by nothing...mowing, sweeping or filling the pool. I can walk up to them to put food down and they just stand there... Must be my inner farm girl that never lived on a farm!
April 15th, 2016
you and Ken are really animals' best friends!
April 15th, 2016
@parisouailleurs What's not to love, Helene? I know you feel the same!
April 15th, 2016
@Weezilou exactly. My dream if I won the big lotery is to create a Fondation for rescue animals...

What a contented looking pair. Liked the processing

Great capture.

Lovely image you've created there!
April 15th, 2016
i hear that inky the octopus is headed your way.
April 15th, 2016
@chard A more challenging photo prospect, but I turn away nothing!
April 15th, 2016
Come on - ... these are just duck decoys ready for the duck season which starts in May here! Turned to stone!
April 15th, 2016
@maggiemae hehe...funny you should say that! It's crossed my mind they we'll miss them and I may want to buy some stone ducks for "replacement decoration"! "Decoys" crossed my mind, but are they as expensive there as the ones we see in Nova Scotia?!! Beautiful, but Yike$!
April 15th, 2016
@Weezilou Yes on looking, I suppose they are - about $60 each!
April 15th, 2016
@maggiemae I've seen most well over $100...well, those are the "antiques", but they're what catch my eye... And as I write, Sir Francis has just touched down... all for free!
April 15th, 2016
@Weezilou I presume you are talking about that Drake Man! Our ducks all shoot off local ponds to hide at the beginning of the Duck shooting season. Its called 'ducking off'!

Great processing!
April 15th, 2016
Great processing. Looks like a beautiful painting. Well done.
April 15th, 2016
This has your signature! What you do is as any other artist with clay or paint or such. Love it
April 16th, 2016
@kevin365 Thank you, Kevin... I was pushing for even more abstract, but the little hen kept disappearing! You're always so kind... As with any art materials, you may think you have an idea where you're headed, but the final stages are often a surprise. Probably better artists achieve their intended goals! But thanks for liking my work as I adore your poetic prose!
April 16th, 2016
OK, I'm gonna say this one DOES have texture this time? Beautifully done Louise.
April 16th, 2016
What a cool shot. I love the texture and the stylized treatment.
