It was a wonderful Christmas morning that began before dawn, and lingered until noon. The boys alternated between ecstatic moments, ("I don't Believe It!") to moments of respect & a willingness to let me get some special photos (with a smile!) ...much like your home, I'm sure!
So the children had their day in the sun and all the cookies & attention, so it's time to throw some respect and appreciation to the dads who spent all afternoon putting some of those toys together! A friend of mine since childhood sent the boys this rather diabolical toy, packed like straws in a plastic bag! More than once I heard John say he could use an engineering degree to put it together, and finished, it looked as though it might blow apart if anyone sneezed! The end result was cute and the boys love it. Pull the launcher and a miniature car races through the track in 1.0005 seconds (pretty much...) That's it...
John and the family are going to Arizona to visit these friends in March and I can already hear John saying, "-WHAT- were you thinking??!!!"
good old dad. A common scene on Christmas morning I'm sure. Those days have passed for us and with our little grandson on the other side of the world we had to be content with excited jumping and noise via Skype. So grateful for this modern technology.
@cruiser Oh Chris, I understand! ANd YES, we're so lucky for the technology! We skyped with our other daughter and the kids in Massachusetts, and the cousins noticed with delight that Santa had brought them a matching Christmas present! I miss the hugs, but I'm appreciative for those happy little voices any day!
What a wonderful capture!! This is what Dad's are for!! They like to take over and look clever!! I hope they enjoy it!! Sounds like a fantastic day!! Fav!
