The little family wanted us to go to brunch with them this morning, but I was only sprung last night and took a pass! I did want a couple of photos as I'd not had a camera in my hands in days, so I asked Dylan if I might take his photo... Quick as I said, "I like the way your hair looks," the hands went to his hips and he struck a pose!
I'd LOVE to know what goes through his head, but he keeps us laughing!
Doesn't get much cuter than this!! I know having your precious family on hand is lifting your spirits. Wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful and injury free New Year!

This is so cute...... He's obviously got some "ham" in him!! You wonder about kids thoughts at times, don't you? Like the time my then four year old great granddaughter asked Linda, "Can't you go to the store and get more?" Linda commented,, "I can't leave now." And Alana returned with, "Well, I can't either. I don't have my motorcycle here!"
So lovely to see one of your shots today - I know you must be feeling a little bit better!! My heart melts whenever I see a photo of Dylan - so gorgeous!! I still smile remembering him teaching you how to play chess!! What a darling!! Fav!
@blackmutts Oh Brooke! Congratulations to your new family! Your 6 m-o will walk on water and be the most handsome and charming child alive! (OK, hold that though when there will be the times of power struggle!) I wish you a lifetime of happy moments and beautiful memories! ...am I now recalling a big sister in the story, too? @lynnz Thanks, Lynn! It feels a very odd thing to have a couple of empty photo folders from during my hospital stay! Ken took a few that documented the boys coming to visit me, but that was about it... I'm pacing myself, but truly am much better!
@Weezilou yes! His sister is three and has been extremely excited for and about him... until now he is starting to take her toys, and she is less than thrilled. I do hope you are feeling better!
@blackmutts while this gut loves the attention and will strike that silly pose (!), he likes to be dressed nicely. His 6 y-o brother *will not* wear long pants, and not just shorts, but lives in a wardrobe of swim trunks! Even when it was freezing cold in PA when they went there for Thanksgiving, he'd put on a jacket, but not wear long pants! Of course everyone got a kick out of photographing him, but probably for all the wrong reasons!
@Weezilou Ha ha! We are trying to interest the three year old in learning to dress herself with the enticement "If you can get yourself dressed, then we will never decide for you what you wear that day"... it will be interesting to see what she comes up with once that happens.
