With little doubt, January can be the prettiest month in this region! (The trouble can be in finding a clear view to photograph the mountains!) After the rains, the air cleared and the snow was down to about 6000'. While running errands, Ken scoped out a couple of locations for photos and we returned to capture some beautiful images. We live no more than a mile from this spot but the trees in yards block the view.
FYI: we can leave the house and be in the snow in about an hour (depending on traffic, of course!)
(The fun of a long-running series of photos is that I looked back, and it was on the 13th of January last year that I photographed a very similar photo of the snow-covered mountains! http://365project.org/Weezilou/365/2016-01-13 )
Wow Louise this is just stunning!! So sad you can only see the view in January!! I wish I could go somewhere local and get a fabulous view of the mountains!! Jealous or what? LOL! Huge Fav!!
We`ve winter now. Only. I live close to the sea and between a river delta. Our winters are moderate. Lots of rains and temp. always around Zero/32 . We call this: ``Kwakkelweer`` = +/- unsteady weather .
