Thank you all for the nice notes, and in some cases, phone calls! Pam Knowler & I chatted for an hour this morning, and this afternoon, I caught up with Sue Stephenson who'd joined 365 in Jan 2010 when I did. (Back when we finally met in Chicago, what a surprise that she lived only a few blocks from my daughter! Both have since moved.)
It's good therapy to actually *talk* to friends, as you can see that typing in this chair is a bit difficult...yes, for that CAT-reason as well!
@lynnz Thanks, Lynn... It was a nice way to spend the afternoon! Ken said it got up to 75 outside, but I never ventured out. (Kitty and I are one now, you can tell!) (I know we're sharing that parallel life : )
Louise~ it's so good to see you smiling and comfortably convalescing with the help of your devoted 'therapist'. Life does not get you down. You rock! Sending hugs and good thoughts your way for a continued text book recovery!!! (Just hope that a second procedure isn't required for the surgical removal of Posh.) You are such an inspirational delight! All the best to you and your caregiver Ken!
Lovely to see you smiling Louise! We must work out Skype so that I can see you as well as talk to you. The cat looks so cosy! He has found his forever home! Fav!
@rosiekind Oh Rosie, Thanks! I've thought of you so many times having gone through your own recuperation that Pam described! You were far braver than I am! I'm doing fine and I hope you're better than ever now!!! ♥
This is definitely a one of a kind shot, and you look wonderful. Kitty looks comfy and cozy. Hey, I didn't realize you'd had surgery..... No better therapist than a cat (or, in our case, a dog or two!) Get well FAST.
@aglennc That could have been you on the line! Yes, I'd have the stomach surgery scheduled since earl Dec. I wasn't expecting a fall that put me in the hospital before then! I'm SO DONE with all that!
@golftragic Oh, I've given the wrong impression! I would love to totally agree with you, but while I remain on a liquid diet for two weeks following surgery, I scoured the short list and didn't find wine on it! That glass is usually no more than water (as I managed to spill the cranberry juice, and that's a no no in the living room!!!) Feeling better daily, Marnie, thanks!
So so good to see you looking relaxed and well cared for (as if there was any doubt on the latter!). Stay focused on your recovery - thoughts are with you.
@Weezilou No booze???? That's serious Louise. I know the problem, I was not allowed any for weeks while I was on some awful antibiotics. My sympathies. Great to see the cat so comfortable. I'd prefer a dog, but each to their own.
@Weezilou Have you made the same New Year's resolution that I did? I have vowed to stay out of ERs and operating rooms in 2017. Was there and did that all too often last year.
@aglennc I'm aware you spent your share of time there as well! I was all scheduled for the surgery on the 24th, but I took that spill on Dec 26th and landed in the hospital for an extra visit beforehand! Buggers! MUST stop doing that!!!
@parisouailleurs He's been visiting our yard for a couple of years, but when we got back, he came in, made himself at home and has *no desire* to leave...which is fine by me! We put him out during the day...sometimes he leaves the yard and we wonder if he visits his other family!
