Post Surgery Day 4 by Weezilou

Post Surgery Day 4

Thank you all for the nice notes, and in some cases, phone calls! Pam Knowler & I chatted for an hour this morning, and this afternoon, I caught up with Sue Stephenson who'd joined 365 in Jan 2010 when I did. (Back when we finally met in Chicago, what a surprise that she lived only a few blocks from my daughter! Both have since moved.)

It's good therapy to actually *talk* to friends, as you can see that typing in this chair is a bit difficult...yes, for that CAT-reason as well!

I'm relaxing a lot and feeling better daily.
Wonderful that you are doing better -- and your cat looks to be quite comfortable!

@dsp2 Thanks so much. Dinah! That cat is too silly for words! But give a cat something warm to lay on...
January 29th, 2017
get better quickly :)
January 29th, 2017
@koalagardens You can see I'm following doctor's orders and *relaxing*! Thanks!
January 29th, 2017
Love this picture of you smiling and the contented kitty.
January 29th, 2017
@lynnz Thanks, Lynn... It was a nice way to spend the afternoon! Ken said it got up to 75 outside, but I never ventured out. (Kitty and I are one now, you can tell!) (I know we're sharing that parallel life : )
January 29th, 2017
That's one very content cat!

You look wonderful Louise - that smile is radiant- pleased you are feeling better
January 29th, 2017
Louise~ it's so good to see you smiling and comfortably convalescing with the help of your devoted 'therapist'. Life does not get you down. You rock! Sending hugs and good thoughts your way for a continued text book recovery!!! (Just hope that a second procedure isn't required for the surgical removal of Posh.) You are such an inspirational delight! All the best to you and your caregiver Ken!
January 29th, 2017
You are looking very good!!
January 29th, 2017
You have worn out the poor cat.

January 29th, 2017
Well Louise, you look as if you could keep on going, but the cat is clearly exhausted!
January 29th, 2017

January 29th, 2017
Lovely to see you smiling Louise! We must work out Skype so that I can see you as well as talk to you. The cat looks so cosy! He has found his forever home! Fav!
January 29th, 2017
Lovely photo of you and your great smile...Your cat seems very content to have you resting and healing.
January 29th, 2017
What a wonderful way to make sure you are relaxing, and not working too hard! Beautiful! :-)
January 29th, 2017
Great to contact friends by telephone when stuck in a chair! Nice happy photo and the cat is determined to sleep on your lap, I can see!
January 29th, 2017
Hope you feel better soon Louise and it's great to see your wonderful smile Fav
January 29th, 2017
@rosiekind Oh Rosie, Thanks! I've thought of you so many times having gone through your own recuperation that Pam described! You were far braver than I am! I'm doing fine and I hope you're better than ever now!!! ♥
January 29th, 2017
Your cat will be so disappointed when you are up and running around again.
January 29th, 2017
What a loving cat :) Get well soon!
January 29th, 2017
You're looking well - cat looks cosy! Amazing to see people still on here from 2010 :)
January 29th, 2017
This is definitely a one of a kind shot, and you look wonderful. Kitty looks comfy and cozy. Hey, I didn't realize you'd had surgery..... No better therapist than a cat (or, in our case, a dog or two!) Get well FAST.
January 30th, 2017
Good to smile you smiling. Heal fast!!
January 30th, 2017
@tunia LOL...You got that right! When my lap isn't available, he's asleep on the bed, waiting for nightfall!
January 30th, 2017
@aglennc That could have been you on the line! Yes, I'd have the stomach surgery scheduled since earl Dec. I wasn't expecting a fall that put me in the hospital before then! I'm SO DONE with all that!
January 30th, 2017
You look nice and smiley and you've got some good company so I'm sure you'll ne mending well. Glad to see you looking so chipper.
January 30th, 2017
Hey, if you're gonna be an invalid you might as well do it in comfort. Good to see the wine glass at hand. Get better soon.
January 30th, 2017
@golftragic Oh, I've given the wrong impression! I would love to totally agree with you, but while I remain on a liquid diet for two weeks following surgery, I scoured the short list and didn't find wine on it! That glass is usually no more than water (as I managed to spill the cranberry juice, and that's a no no in the living room!!!) Feeling better daily, Marnie, thanks!
January 30th, 2017
So so good to see you looking relaxed and well cared for (as if there was any doubt on the latter!). Stay focused on your recovery - thoughts are with you.
January 30th, 2017
@Weezilou No booze???? That's serious Louise. I know the problem, I was not allowed any for weeks while I was on some awful antibiotics. My sympathies. Great to see the cat so comfortable. I'd prefer a dog, but each to their own.
January 30th, 2017
Yep, that's what they do. My excuse for not keeping up with 365 as often as I should. You both look content. Glad you're recovering nicely.
January 30th, 2017
Glad to hear you are doing better. You and the cat, keep up the good work.
January 31st, 2017
@Weezilou Have you made the same New Year's resolution that I did? I have vowed to stay out of ERs and operating rooms in 2017. Was there and did that all too often last year.
January 31st, 2017
@aglennc I'm aware you spent your share of time there as well! I was all scheduled for the surgery on the 24th, but I took that spill on Dec 26th and landed in the hospital for an extra visit beforehand! Buggers! MUST stop doing that!!!
January 31st, 2017
Really hope you're on your way to full recovery by now. You (both) look so comfy here!
January 31st, 2017
glad to know you're doing better Louise. You're having the sweetest cat!
February 1st, 2017
@parisouailleurs He's been visiting our yard for a couple of years, but when we got back, he came in, made himself at home and has *no desire* to leave...which is fine by me! We put him out during the day...sometimes he leaves the yard and we wonder if he visits his other family!
February 1st, 2017
@parisouailleurs ...and I meant to say, merci! Oui, I am feeling a lot better!
February 1st, 2017
