Cat Therapy by Weezilou

Cat Therapy

The best of little companions. Back home after 48 hrs,and am surprised that I actually feel pretty good. Sleeping a lot, but I try to remember I crave that when I can't have it, so making the time to indulge! My sweet neighbour loaned me a recliner, so for all intents & purposes, I'm relaxing in the lap of luxury. Down side: No solids for two more weeks... No chocolates for now : (

(And no, I did not have any sort of weight-reducing lap band surgery.) Any weight loss will just be a happy side effect.
Fell better soon. Thinking of you.

Oh Louise, I feel for you. I know from experience how frustrating it is not to be your usual active self. Take care.
January 28th, 2017
Kitty looks very happy to be your recovery buddy.
January 28th, 2017
Enjoy your recovery time. Nice bonus there on your lap.
January 28th, 2017
Absolutely beautiful photo....wishing you a comfortable recovery. :-)
January 28th, 2017
Sweet shot...Take care, Louise, and wish you a swift recovery :)
January 28th, 2017
Sweeter than sweet. Relax and enjoy your downtime and I hope you are up and about soon.
January 28th, 2017
Rest up while you can and re-charge those batteries. And follow doctor's orders!!
January 28th, 2017
So pleased to see you out of hospital Louise! Do as the doctor ordered and you will soon have your strength back and be up and about again! Middle of the night here and thought I would have a browse - so lovely to see this image and your comments on my shots. I can go back to sleep now! Fingers crossed! Fav for my beautiful Posh cat - doing a grand job of looking after you!

There is no therapy like it in my opinion. My two now, and my two who passed away, were always by my side after surgeries. The best nurses ever! Hope you heal well.
January 28th, 2017
I hope that you recover quickly and completely!
January 28th, 2017
Aww, now isn't that sweet? Happy to hear you are back home so quickly and doing so well. We'll have to celebrate when you can get some solids down. Bring the kitty!

@sailingmusic @lyndemc @danette Thank you ladies! He is indeed, my "recovery buddy!" Ken removed him off of my right arm so I could type, but he jumped right back up onto my feet! Probably has something do do with the heater across the way... : )

@ethelperry We're together in spirit, Ethel. Tomorrow is another day...and we're still here : )

@laurieewilson @seattlite Thank you both. No one is more amazed than I am that I'm *not* uncomfortable! I'll have a lot to thank the doctor for!

@teiko @golftragic Thank you both so much! You know I'm no good at staying down for long!

@pamknowler Sorry to rad you're up in the middle of the night again. I slept 4 hours this afternoon, so tonight I'm wide awake! ABout to fold up shop... cat is all over me wanting to play... good grief!

@bethshepherd
January 28th, 2017
@bethshepherd I fully agree! Ken and I are laughing as e's making it nearly impossible to write my thanks o you as he wriggles & rearranges! Do you suppose he thinks I ought to close up shop & get some sleep? Pretty wonderful creatures, aren't they?!

@dsp2 Tiger. here, is seeing to it that I shut down the computer and get some sleep! Ken keeps taking pictures of us and laughter is good medicine!

@stray_shooter He's a finny one, Ron! Sorry I couldn't go so far as to create a flamingo tonight, but when I do, you'll know I'm on the mend!
While I'm following dr's orders, maybe I need to design a "Pink Drink" and call it a Flamingo Flip... hmmmmm....
January 28th, 2017
They are such great companions, especially when they want to be! I hope that your recovery is trouble free. Take care of yourself and do try to take things slow.
January 28th, 2017
I'm sending healing thoughts to you Louise. I know ken will take good care of you & you must remember to cooperate. ❤
January 28th, 2017
sweet photo ... Wishing you a speedy recovery, Louise. I didn't know you had been in the hospital lately. Thank goodness you've got Ken and some pets to comfort you! Bet that squirrel who was at the window not long ago missed you! Get well soon.
January 28th, 2017
glad to know you're on the mend. no solids for two weeks! heck, you'll put miss universe to shame by that time! hmmm..there's an idea, why don't i be a good friend and have no solids for two weeks, too. okay, that's quite a lofty goal for me, especially that you mentioned chocolate. okay, a better idea for me would be just chocolate for two weeks. yes, that's it! and i better leave you and kitty now or i would have to use the epipen if i stare too long! :-P keep well, my lady!
January 28th, 2017
@summerfield awww thanks for the chatty note :) No sense in two of us being "miserable" at the same time! You can have my servings of chocolate for the time being! Actually, I was on liquids for 10 days prior to surgery, so I'm getting used to it. And Now, I can add ice cream, so we're blending a little ice cream into the choco protein shakes, and hey...not bad!!! Would that I now have the skin elasticity of a 20 year old! I can lose, but I don't think the picture is going to be att that pretty ; / I can opt for better health...ok with that! xo
January 28th, 2017
@lynnz There should be some special award for Ken who couldn't be a better care giver! He not only sees to all my many needs, he takes good direction regarding the animals, and earlier we watched the squirrel enjoying her treats out on the table. In short, my stomach had repositioned itself into my chest and the acid was awful. I think I had a terrific dr and I'm following his order 100%. Ken and the jpets are a joy and the grandkids keep in touch, so all's well. All I need now is "time".
January 28th, 2017
@novab Hi Darlin'! You'd be so proud of me; I'm being a very good patient, resting a lot, and not (yet) spending much time on the computer. I have been visiting on the phone with friends, and would love to chat with you about "balance" and what I'm learning. Of course that's a whole different thing! I'll be up and out soon...just searching for creative ways to eat gruel! haha! ♥
January 28th, 2017
Hope you are doing better.
January 29th, 2017
@joansmor Thanks SO much Joan! I'm amazed how much better I'm doing...especially compared to the first 48 hours. Thanks for your words of concern ♥
January 29th, 2017
@salza Thanks, Sally, for the nice note. As one who nearly never chats on the phone, I've already talked more to friends than I typically do in an entire year! I find it easier than typing, & it's lovely to be in touch! I'm healing fast : )
January 29th, 2017
Awwww. Glad you're back home. Nothing like a Healing Cat to make you feel better, even if it's not your own. Healing hugs to you.
January 29th, 2017
@joysfocus It's true, isn't it, that the best Therapy Pets visit where they're needed and do their healing work : ) He must be amazing... I cannot believe my abdomen hasn't hurt in the least and yet I look like I was caught in crossfire! Damn! I was SO PLANNING to show up at the pool party in my new bikini!
January 29th, 2017
