What to do on a day with no interesting photography... I thought to take an old photo at random and see if I could bring out the details better than the original...happy to say, "yes". And then the layering began... It probably doesn't bear mentioning that this wasn't thought out or planned out, but I was pleased with the colo(u)ration... This business of layering is a wonderful way to use all my "stashed ephemera" and unused photos. For me, this was a pleasant way to pass an afternoon while listening to a Ray Price Cd over and over and over...
Thank you for your visits with kind words and sweet notes. All were most especially appreciated this weekend.
Oh what fun - the parrot is waiting to pounce!! I am loving the two girls and the fabulous tone of the processing. The addition of the parrot is so bizarre it makes me laugh - he is so gorgeous with such lovely colours. Who else but you would think of adding him to the original. LOL!! Has to be a Fav for originality!!
Excellent Louise. I have been doing a bit of that too from time to time as still not well after nearly 6 weeks, just don't have the energy to go out and get new shots.
@shepherdmanswife I'm sorry, Chantal, to read you've not been in good health, and I know how that changes the opportunities to go out for photos. I love the backgrounds you've been using, and, up against the health issue a bit myself, it's proved to be an excellent time to learn new techniques. And don't we all have files full of usable pictures that went untapped?! It's nearly hard to imagine the "need" to pull an old photo out of an album for "play", but it's all just "art supplies" now! Keep after all that is it YOU do as you do it so well! Wishing us both renewed optimum health by the time the tulips bloom!
@danette ...and then I'd have to write the story to go with it? OK...interesting concept! How about "just a short story"? Thanks, Danette, my cheerleader ; )
