I'd been squirrel watching as Tigger lay on the door mat, not making any aggressive moves. Suddenly, up he popped onto the table, but funniest of all, Posh didn't run off! Tigger's not agressive to any of the animals (save for "playing" with a lizard now and then) and in a tussle, Posh has the teeth and claws to hold her own. But they weren't going anywhere! When she did jump down, he just sat and watched...then followed to where she was eating peanuts I'd set there for the crow! Once more he jumped up, she darted a foot or two and sat there twitching her tail! It was all a big game! When he walked away, she went back to the peanuts and resumed eating.
It was totally adorable to watch as it was clearly all in fun on both sides! I've got a series of pictures to show for it!
what a wonderful scene and story. The animals in your garden are far more active than our koalas and dog. Of course dogs cant climb trees and koalas know better than to stay on the ground too long
@kwind@lynnz Thank you both for liking what I can capture in the back yard! It really helped today when they gave me something to work with!
@gaylewood I have seen Tigger "playfully" chasing, but today was the best that Posh wasn't going to be rousted from her meal! I actually think they were both kind of fascinated by one another! (We had another cat in the past that would chase the squirrel who would stop only part way up the tree, turn to look down and the cat and flick her tail! Sure looks like "play" to me!)
@golftragic haha! Like, "OK ...what now?!" It wasn't crazy-making time...I shot three photos as they looked at one another, and in one, Tigger looked down!
So funny! They are sizing each other up! It's like Gunfight at the OK coral! A wonderful capture of the fun going on in your garden! I love it that Posh stood his ground! Fav!
What a sweet story, and I bet heart-warming to watch as it was obvious the two were honestly playing together.
Thanks so much for all the comments you've shared on a number of my B&W. I enjoyed reading them!
@homeschoolmom Lisa! No No! (haha!) Had I sensed a problem, Tigger would have had a time out ... (and canned Tuna!)
