The Quidi Vidi Neighbourhood by Weezilou

The Quidi Vidi Neighbourhood

This was an interesting area filled with diverse settings! These houses looked across the little bay at a huge brewing company...but they would need a designated "driver" for a night out! Behind me is a venue that houses a large number of craftsmen, designing and selling from their small rooms. In all, this wasn't far outside St John's, but it was completely different!

This photo is full of all the colours that make houses in St John's so unique, but these folks had chosen an entirely different lifestyle!

*****Computer update: Ken bought a new one at Costco, but thinks it's too big for traveling...it's going back. I may be waiting a few weeks to get one from Dell but I can do little but color correct a photo and pass it along! I can hardly wait to "play" again, but I've got no shortage of activities to keep me very very busy! ... THANK YOU for all the nice notes and comments!
Great perspective for this photo. Such colourful buildings.

Love the colours! Looks like the houses are being pushed into the water by that massive rock!

Is there any road access for these houses Louise? They look to be built right up against the cliff. I love the colours and building styles :)

@elkereturns @merrelyn Funny, the opposing terminology "built up"..."Pushed down"... Merrelyn, yes, there's no bridge, though this is not far across the bay. They would have to get into the boat to come across. No salesmen knock on their door!

We've only got a week and would travel fast but I'd love to meet you if you're around. Also appreciate any advice travel advice you might have as we've never been to the area before.
