Following four full-and-busy days, we left the house around 7:30 this morning and spent the entire day at Wild Animal Park, an extension of the San Diego zoo. We met Ron @stray_shooter to photograph the butterfly exhibit, but I'm disappointed with most of my images; DOF too shallow! It could be that I pushed myself to exhaustion walking around extensive acreage and I need a good night's sleep before going through my pictures another time!
I couldn't even recall the name of this animal until Ken looked it up for me...it's a Gerenuk from Southern Africa. I told Ron I'd post something and I'm curious to see what he has. I think he got some excellent pictures...I may need to take another crack at it before the butterfly exhibit closes mid-month!
Great capture Louise. I got a few good ones of the butterflies - not as many as hoped for, but I'm sure you'll find some winners after a well deserved rest.
What a gorgeous capture Louise! I bet you have some lovely butterfly shots - just get some rest and go back to them. Your processing skills will come in handy I expect! Fav!
They stand out beautifully, what interesting animals! Ron did put on an exquisite butterfly photo! I’m sure you have some beautiful shots too, I always see photos differently after a good night’s sleep.
I have never been there. I thought last time I was in San Diego my son would take me as he has a pass but it didn't work out. Maybe next time. I bet it was a real field day for you!
