Since I'm moving in for a close up of yesterday's view I thought of how it's "always" looked like this, long before people came to view it, much less to photograph it! The wind was blowing fiercely causing all those white caps...and it was chilly. I had Ken drop me off for this view, but, looking at the photo, I see we could have ridden around to the base of the rock where cars were lined up.
I agree with Marnie @golftragic a great mood to this image. Lovely tones. This is not how I imagined the California coast. Looks so beautiful - a coastal drive sounds fabulous If this is the scenery! Fav!
@pamknowler I plan to make up a little "tour" to send to you as it's lovely (and only continues to get better as you continue north!) A landslide took out Hwy 1 (which is considered one of the most beautiful drives in America) but it hugs the mountain as you overlook the ocean below...did it once, but it's not a place you can jump out to take pictures!) All afternoon we talked about the pros and cons of moving!!!
We've been under a wind watch - you timed it perfectly. Today was better so I hope you're getting out and about - today I was going to go to MB for a late lunch (we went to the Carrizo Plain this morning and on our way back - decided to just get home - traffic was already a bit crazy) - Enjoy your fam and take lots of pics!
@elatedpixie The visit the last few days was spectacular! What a gorgeous region! We've been up here in years past, but returned and now hope to come more often (though probably not again this year!) We spent some good time meandering and not rushing through anything...even noted PB pier so we know where to go when the whales arrive! All so beautiful!
