Catalina Raven

Drawing on the recent trip to Catalina Island where I love that they have both a plentiful number of crown and Ravens. Their size is noticeable different as are their calls, so it's fun to watch for them. Here I'd been watching and photographing a raven when it suddenly took off and I was delighted with the silhouette amidst this very tropical setting!
I love crows, ravens, magpies and currawongs - they're such cool birds - this raven looks huge

@pyrrhula Thank you so much for stopping to leave comments, Ferry! We leave in the morning for Costa Rica where I'm taking a photo class for a week! I'm feeling much better and hope you are, too!

Have a save and nice trip and enjoy the class. Love to see the results. Not over yet but I can handle it. The worse: I`ve drawings of new works and can`t start with it. Very frustating.

@pyrrhula We can ALL relate to your frustration when you're not able to do an art project you're excited to begin! It's a tiny compensation, but about to upload the baby hummingbird photo as I don't know if they'll grow and leave before we're back in a week! They still have their eyes closed...might get to see them again...I hope! Thank you for the well wishes!

That's a very striking shot with the stark black silhouette.
