How Could Anything Possibly Go Wrong? ...

Here's another staging image of the property owner with a eyelash viper (Our grandsons knew immediately what this snake was thanks to Wild Krats!) I wasn't afraid to move in for the photos I wanted, but only someone who grew up with the likes of this might feel comfortable picking it up with the hook and carrying it to another staging location! One day I might return and share the "polished" photos I took of the animals in my alternate albums!
These have been fascinating

Yikes.........I'm not a snake fan!

@pamknowler @radiogirl Viper = very venomous! I love the beauty of a snake skin and am not afraid of them, but wouldn't reach out to come any closer to this one...not courting danger!

Ah - you were in Costa Rica. I looked on google and found this particular snake is found in Central and South America! I would really prefer to see this in a zoo behind glass!

I wouldn't be able to watch this in person. Too tense.

Yes indeed, what in the world could go wrong? I can think of, oh, twenty things, lol. Cool capture!

@louannwarren haha! These guides were grabbing up the poisonous frogs with their bare hands to return them to "the staging"! Local kids with a Steve Irwin mentality!

I am more than happy to handle snakes as long as they are the non venomous variety lol - was handling my daughter's young spotted pythons yesterday.

My daughter once had a b/f who had an albino (yellow) (python or boa...can't recall...they were a popular "pet" for awhile...) He was lovely, and we'd "babysit" him if Raffi had to be away...we kept him in the shower stall!

Super focus and details on the skin...I don't like snakes :).

Great shot and a wonderful title!

Oh golly whizz, he's game. Round here we'd call him a temporary Australian.

A fabulous shot, but nothing for me to to near.
July 19th, 2018
I'd definitely keep away :)
July 19th, 2018
Woah, fabulous shot Louise! Love it, but wouldn't go near it!
July 19th, 2018
Rather him than me. Snakes are my phobia. Great shot.
July 19th, 2018
Great shot Louise, but I certainly wouldn't be getting too close!

Love this, I like snakes! Can't stand arachnids but snakes are wonderful to watch.

Snakes are OK as long as there is a pane of glass (or a good amount of distance) between me and the snake! LOL! Beautiful colors though! My son keeps finding rattlesnakes in their backyard. The fire dept. comes out and cuts their heads off with a shovel before they dispose of them...yuck! My grandson keeps asking why the rattlesnakes are coming to their house but they built their house where the rattlesnakes lived! Too bad because otherwise the rattlers would probably be content and want to live undisturbed.

@casablanca At Last! Among all those who have commented, I've felt quite alone in that I think snakes are beautiful! I'm 100% like you...have zero tolerance for spiders, though I respect what they do in nature. Still, when someone posts a close-up of one, I can hardly look at it! Thanks for sharing a moment!!! : )

Great shot of this nice snakes. I believe snakes should n`t be hold like pets. in the news was , a few day`s ago, a Boa constrictor was escaped. The neighbours did n`t dare to sleep in there house.
