Caught with his paw in the "cookie jar", that's actually whipped cream on his nose...leftovers with the cheesecake that's already gone! But if you were on the jury with Santa, would you call this little bandit "Naughty"? (Be careful with your answer...)
What a wonderful image with the beautiful Christmas decorations. I would say he is awfully cute with that blob of cream on his nose, albeit looking very guilty! As long as he did not eat my cheesecake, I'd call him hungry for a treat :-)
How can you call him naughty? He has such good manners using his little foot to eat! So cute with the cream on his nose! My favourite visitor who always deserves a treat!
what are your critters going to do for food whilst you're gone? they'll be eating from the garbage again after the gourmet season they had while you're away! poor little things!
Super cute and sweet capture, Louise! He is guilty as charged with the evidence on his nose. However, with no footage of him eating, it is circumstantial and not direct evidence. And I love the Christmas addition. You are fantastic, Louise! Fav.
I would say innocent. Most likely just sniffing the delightful scent and was startled by your approach, accidently shoving his nose in the whipped cream :)
@casablanca You have a keen understanding of what was taking place! From your mouth to Santa's ears!
The verdict is in! https://365project.org/Weezilou/album-excess/2018-12-04 and he's free to continue to enjoy dinners with dessert at the back door! As for "what will he do when we're gone", the answer is that raccoons hibernate in the coldest months, and looking at his girth, I do believe I'm not the only one putting out dog or cat food for the visitors! You don't look like that eating grubs!
@mcsiegle Mary, I should have acknowledged that you saw through my ruse as well!
