Our creek behaving quite nicely... by robz

Our creek behaving quite nicely...

It starts in the NP at the end of the street and ends up in the Broadwater. At times it varies from a rocky dry bed with a few ponds to a raging torrent. At one stage, many years ago, our property had a working slate mine where they used explosives to bring down the slate walls of the creek so they could be transported out. Hence, we have lots of steep cliffs, blasted water holes and waterfalls. It's fascinating and quite lovely now that the native plants have reclaimed the area. :)
Love the lush green plants and the fast, churning water… beautiful.

What I would call a babbling brook.

I like how the strength of the creek has created brown water

What an interesting capture. I'm sad that explosives (man) blasted the land and happy that nature has reclaimed to.
