I came to attention when Ashley commented on how beautiful the light was, shining on her kitchen wall. I ran out for "a quick shot" and when I saw what was happening, threw off my socks and *sprinted* down to the neighbor's! Picture after picture left me hoping everyone had come to a stop to see it! And, indeed, as soon as I came back in 20 minutes later, I had an email from my friend in town asking me if I'd taken a million photos and she sent me some to share! That delighted me!
I let Ken pick one from several as I simply couldn't decide. And what fun it was to see this posting by
Jean Karvelis @karvelis who lives about 125 mi (200km) inland, and I can see the same cloud structure: https://365project.org/karvelis/365
This is a Masterpiece indeed. So lovely, Louise! I'm not sure you should have been sprinting though ... sounds dangerous!!! Great shot that Ken chose from your several.
I've only ever read the beginning of you profile till now and was thrown off by the mention of Nova Scotia. Whenever I saw some of you flower pictures and thought, "How interesting that those flower are bloom in Nova Scotia, while they are just coming into bloom here in California. But when I saw your sunset, I went to your profile and found that you are in Fountain Valley, only about sixty miles away from where I live. I only had about two minutes to shoot mine. Maybe less. Because my wife was waiting for me in the car.. I like the way yours is framed top and bottom by the tree. I tried to frame mine between two palm trees. But I couldn't get far enough back, so the angle left too much blue sky up top of the frame.
@danette Thanks, Danette! I could give a sermon wrapped in the feelings this gives me! The short version to all the world, "Love one Another"...
@summerfield Never had that tasty tidbit, but betting it would be awfully good! Thanks for liking this, and for posting my sunset pix on FF : )
@kwind Just when I feel envious of the beautiful scenes you (and others) send I need to remember I got to photograph this! Thanks for liking it!
